Equipment innovation recognized at Farm Progress

A panel of judges has recognized six new equipment innovations entered for critique at this year’s Canada’s Farm Progress Show.

Bergen Industries of Drake, Sask., earned the only gold standard award for its double barrel grain auger.

Sterling standard winners were Biso-Canada Ltd. of Grandview, Man., for the Biso Ultralight 800, a high-tech header made of aluminum; Wingssprayer of Rivers, Man., for a drift reduction system on sprayers; Pentair of New Brighton, Minnesota, for the ProStop-E, a miniature 12-volt actuated quarter-turn ball valve mounted directly on to nozzles; Raven Industries of Sioux Falls, South Dakota for the Hawkeye Nozzle Control System; and Salford Group Inc. of Salford, Ont., for Salford hydraulic packages.

Eleven equipment innovations were showcased at the show this week.

As well, 27 new products are on display from 21 companies.
