Mr. Moore complains of receiving a Viterra dividend cheque of 15 cents.
The current dividend rate is five cents per share, therefore, a person would have to own three shares, which at about $11 per share is a heavy duty investment indeed, amounting to some $33.
If Mr. Moore really wants to send the 15 cent cheque to the children’s burn unit, he could do it with a regular postage stamp and a recycled envelope, which is much less than the $10 to $12 that he suggests. I’m sure Viterra did it for less.
