Childhood freedoms

It is with a sad heart I read of the discontinuation of that precious little magazine, Western

People. How many times have I identified with articles, the simple joys of childhood

freedoms, running barefoot over the prairies, crocuses on a hillside, wheatfields bending in

the wind, the drought, the dust storms … where else can one read and relate to the Prairies

of old? It seems a time forever gone except in memory…
