WINNIPEG, Jan. 25 (CNS Canada) – The Canadian dollar is up Friday morning along with equity markets.
At 8:50 CST Friday morning the Canadian dollar was at US$0.7536 or C$1.3267, which compares with Thursday’s North American close of US$0.7490 or C$1.3351.
The TSX/S&P Composite Index was up 60.25 points Friday morning at 15,341.03.
In the United States the Dow Jones gained 179.47 points Friday morning to 24,732.71, the S&P 500 rose 16.11 points to 2,658.44 and the NASDAQ was up 50.51 points to 7,123.97.
Oil prices are up 11 cents Friday morning. West Texas Intermediate crude is at US$53.24 per barrel after closing Thursday at US$53.13.
Gold is up by US$11.50 Friday morning to US$1,291.30 per ounce.
