Purchase offers are being accepted until Feb. 14 for the assets of Whitemud Resources Inc., the kaolin processing plant at Wood Mountain, Sask.

The plant closed Dec. 15 after a financing deal fell through and the company’s secured lender forced it into receivership.

Deloitte & Touche Inc. is the court-appointed receiver, and senior vice-president Vic Kroeger said there is interest in the operation.

The court must approve the successful bidder for the plant, equipment and leases, which is expected to happen no later than Feb. 28.
