The falling Canadian dollar helped canola edge higher on Friday, capping a week when November canola gained 0.6 percent.
There was little news specific to canola.
November canola gained $1.10 to $475.50 per tonne, remaining in the $470 to $480 range it has been in for weeks.
We won’t know for sure until the StatsCan report in December but by some counts it appears canola production could be a million tonnes more than the current official forecast of 14.3 million. On the other hand, canola exports and domestic crush are running ahead of last year’s record pace.

Kansas City hard red winter wheat dropped 1.8 percent this week and hit its lowest since Sept. 14 on Friday.
