Canola futures closed slightly higher Monday, supported by soy oil and soybeans and a lack of farmer selling.
A stronger loonie limited gains.
U.S. crop condition ratings slipped this week due to excess rain, but remain better than average for this time of year.
The USDA said the percentage of corn rated good-to-excellent fell to 74 percent from 76 percent the week before. Last year it was 65 percent.
Soybean good to excellent fell to 72 percent from 73 the week before. Last year it was 65 percent.
