Calves stolen in southern Sask.

Three calves less than one week old were stolen from a pasture in the Ormiston, Sask., district on March 16.

Coronach RCMP report that a rancher saw two people stealing calves from his pasture at about 3:30 a.m. using a “dark coloured Ford extended cab truck,” said the RCMP in a news release.

When the rancher approached, the truck took off from a grid road. The rancher followed it to Highway 36 and then stopped.

RCMP said one man and one woman appear to have been involved in the theft. Anyone with information is asked to call the Coronach detachment at 306-267-1830 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477.
