Mailbox friends

I am 83 years young …. My husband passed away four years ago, age 88. We would be

married 62 years. The Western Producer has been in our family for many years. Even when

I was a young girl, my mom and dad always got it.

I always enjoy the short stories in Western People and looked forward to its appearance in

Thursday’s mail.

When the Mailbox started, that made it more special. That’s the first part I looked for. I have

gained a lot of good pen friends through it. If I had anything someone wanted, I wasted no

time to take pen in hand and write down what they wanted … I think all I ever requested was

needles for my old crank gramophone, but I got them…
