Honest government

The problem with Saskatchewan and Canadian politics is a shortage of elected members that will listen to the taxpayer that elected them.

Accountability needs to be restored in the entire political system. Accountability to the needs of the ordinary citizen – physical, emotionally, spiritually, not to the hidden agenda of a few select insiders that are promoting their own distorted view of what the world should become in the future.

Politicians that are free to write their own speeches – not those of bureaucrats out of touch with reality. Politicians that are free to vote their conscience, not that of the party.

Balanced budgets? I can balance my books too if I don’t pay my bills. That’s easy, but for a taxpayer it’s against the law; for the government, it’s acceptable.

Just look at the mess we are in – highways crumbling, health care in disarray, education out of hand, utilities skyrocketing, agriculture in crisis, people living in poverty – the list goes on.

Let’s get back to the basics – honest government.
