Hogs
The U.S. national live price average for barrows and gilts was US$45.01 per hundredweight Nov. 2, up from $45.70 Oct. 26.
U.S. hogs averaged $57.58 on a carcass basis Nov. 2, up from $57.06 Oct. 26.
The U.S. pork cutout was $75.07 per cwt. Nov. 2, down from $77.54 Oct. 26.
The estimated U.S. weekly slaughter to Nov. 3 was 2.593 million, up from 2.561 million the previous week.
Slaughter was 2.443 million last year at the same time.
In Canada, the Nov. 3 Signature Five price was C$146.63 per 100 kilograms, down from $147.16 the previous week.

On a per hundredweight basis the price was $66.51, down from $66.75.
Bison
The Canadian Bison Association said Grade A bulls in the desirable weight range sold at prices from C$5.75-$6 per pound hot hanging weight. U.S. buyers are offering US$4.60 or more with returns dependent on exchange rates, quality and export costs.
Grade A heifers sold up to C$5.55-$5.80. U.S. buyers are offering US$4.40.
Animals outside the desirable buyer specifications may be discounted.
Lambs
Ontario Stockyards Inc. reported that 961 sheep and lambs and 85 goats sold Oct. 29. All good well-fed lambs sold stronger. All other types sold steady. Good sheep sold $5 higher and good goats sold also steady.
Beaver Hill Auction in Tofield, Alta., reported that 1,325 sheep and 430 goats sold Oct. 29.
Wool lambs lighter than 54 lb. were $190-$220 per cwt., 55-69 lb. were $190-$223, 70-85 lb. were $180-$203, 86-105 lb. were $181-$200 and 106 lb. and heavier were $177-$191.
Wool rams were $88-$136 per cwt. Cull ewes were $92-$138.
Hair lambs lighter than 54 lb. were $169-$194 per cwt., 55-69 lb. were $165-$192, 70-85 lb. were $165-$187, 86-105 lb. were $160-$182 and 106 lb. and heavier were $165-$182.
Hair rams were $87-$128 per cwt. Cull ewes were $82-$145.
