Grain sampler

Nuttal has also introduced Sample Air, a bin system that can select samples from various levels in the bin. This allows the operator to measure moisture levels throughout the bin.

The system consists of a vertical tube installed in the bin, about one metre (40 inches) from the wall.

The tube has five short horizontal tubes to provide sampling points at various depths. Each of these has a separate, small air-injection pipe.

By using a short blast of air from a portable tank or a hand pump, the operator can obtain a sample from the selected depth. The air shoots the grain down the central tube.
