Tilt sensor
Terradox Corp. now has a terrain compensation option for its SiteWinder GPS guidance and mapping system.
The TRC-1 kit consists of a TCX-1 tilt sensor, TRC software activation code and user manual. TCX-1 is installed on the floor or other level surface inside the cab and connects to SiteWinder via a single cable.
When operating in hilly terrain, the SiteWinder allows vehicles to pitch and roll, causing the GPS antenna to swing away from the centreline. This results in a position error that leads to mapping errors such as gaps and overlaps between swaths.

Nytro Ag Corp and Green Lightning recieved an innovation award at Ag in Motion 2025 for the Green Lightning Nitrogen Machine, which converts atmospheric nitrogen into a plant-usable form.
TRC’s advanced dual-axis tilt sensor continuously monitors terrain errors while driving or when the vehicle is stopped. SiteWinder uses this information in real time to correct its guidance and mapping display. The result is an automatic correction that helps to reduce gaps and overlaps and improve mapping accuracy.

Precision control panel
Kee Technologies has announced the ZYNX X20 precision farming control console, which provides automatic steering and satellite guidance.
It can handle up to five tank one-pass variable rate seeding applications including granular, liquid and anhydrous ammonia.
It has a 30 auto-boom section sprayer control, fertilizer spreading and harvester control and monitoring. It is capable of five layer variable rate mapping with elevation maps and allows real time connection of the in-vehicle console with other digital systems or access through the internet allowing real time monitoring and control.
All functions are controlled by a cabin console with flexibility to add other applications such as wireless networking with other X20s, digital devices and other systems. It enables a grower to start with a simple screen-based manual guidance system and progressively add applications without cluttering the cab with more screens.
The X20 has a brighter touch-screen with an area 70 percent larger than the X10 and X15. The ZYNX X20 also supports the industry standard ISO11783 Canbus.
“Farmers have told us that guidance plus auto-steer, variable rate application and mapping is saving them between 20-30 percent on fertilizer and chemicals as well as over 10 percent on fuel costs,” said Graeme Kennelly, Kee’s global marketing manager.

Herculex RW receives approval
Corn growers concerned about yield losses to corn rootworm can now protect their crop with the new Herculex RW Rootworm Protection trait.
Dow AgroSciences and Pioneer Hi-Bred International, the trait’s developers, recently received confirmation from Health Canada and the Canadian Food Inspection Agency that Herculex RW has been approved for food, feed and environmental release in Canada.
“Herculex RW will give farmers built-in protection against corn rootworm, an insect pest that is
capable of causing significant damage in corn,” says Virgil Edlin, marketing manager for Mycogen Seeds at Dow AgroSciences.
“More importantly, Herculex RW will give corn growers several outstanding hybrid options when choosing corn rootworm protection.”
Herculex RW Rootworm Protection is designed to provide season-long protection against western and northern larval corn rootworm. The trait will be available in hybrids for 2006 from Mycogen Seeds and Pioneer.
All Herculex traits also have LibertyLink technology, providing tolerance to Liberty herbicide.
