Block heater monitor

Plugrite Innovations has introduced two block heater monitors, one for home use and the other for industrial uses.

The Plug Rite uses lights to signal whether a block heater is getting power and operating. A green light indicates power is reaching the block heater while a red light indicates the heater is working.

Plug Rite can be used to monitor most 110 volt applications.

Bin ladder

John Pawlivsky of Rabbit Lake, Sask., has introduced the JP Big Rock grain bin ladder, replacing the need to carry around a cumbersome extension ladder.

Built of galvanized tubing, the ladder comes in short, light sections that fit into each other to form the height needed for the bin.

The system has a safety feature that secures the ladder at the top and bottom to prevent it from falling over.

Air drill

Flexi-Coil has introduced several new products for 1999, including the new Slim 7500 air drill.

The model 7500 air drill with Slim transport design has models up to 70 feet wide (21 metres) in field position, folding to 16 feet (five m) for transport.

The 7500 is 12.5 feet high (3.75 m), allowing it to pass under power lines and shop doors.

It has independent five-foot (1.5 m) frame modules that follow land contours, giving precision seed and fertilizer placement.

The new design has easier access to the openers. In roll-up position, operators can walk into the frame modules to inspect or change openers.

There is also a depth scale for

accurate, repeatable seed depth setting.
