VIDEO: Green Lightning and Nytro Ag win sustainability innovation award

Nytro Ag Corp and Green Lightning recieved an innovation award at Ag in Motion 2025 for the Green Lightning Nitrogen Machine, which converts atmospheric nitrogen into a plant-usable form.

Depending on the field, conductivity can correlate to organic matter, depth of topsoil, water-holding characteristics and in some cases pH and nutrient levels.

As the 3100 sensor cart is pulled through the field, it acquires conductivity measurements through its coulter-electrodes at one second intervals and plots them using GPS.

The system simultaneously collects readings for the top 30 centimetres and the zero to one metre levels.

The data recorded on the Veris instrument panel can be downloaded in a choice of formats compatible with most ag mapping software programs.

The result is a map that identifies contrasting soils in a field, allowing for targeted soil sampling and variable rates of crop input applications.

For more information write Veris at 601 N. Broadway, Salina, Kansas, U.S.A., 67401, phone 913-825-1978.
