Silo unloader
J-Star Industries’ Van Dale division has developed a new ring-drive silo unloader. The Pow’R-Ring silo unloader has the standard features of heavy duty impeller, discharge assembly and saber edge augers that give better performance with less wear in hard-packed and frozen silage.
Features include a free-floating drive system with direct coupling positive ring and gear tooth engagement design. A centre position guide wheel provides balanced drive even in out-of-round silos and frozen material. The unloader has self-lubricating low friction slider blocks, which eliminate the need for manual greasing. The unloaders have remote electrical controls that lock out all other control locations, allowing for safe adjustments when inside the silo.

Hydraulic loader
The GL545 self-leveling loader, developed by Farmhand, is designed to fit two-wheel-drive tractors from 30 to 120 horsepower, and front wheel assist tractors from 30 to 60 horsepower. It has an easily installed two-way hydraulic self-leveling system and can lift 1,395 kilograms (3,100 pounds) to 3.1 metres (10 feet, four inches.)
Total digging depth is 10.16 cm (four inches), with a 22-degree bucket rollback and 38 degree dump angle. Like other Farmhand loaders, the GL545 has an optional coupler that allows for quick mounting of buckets, spears, forks and other attachments.

Vaccine protection
The Vac-Pac apparatus protects animal vaccines from sunlight, temperature changes and impact and can be mounted to almost anything or anyone. It also provides storage and easy access to replacement needles.
The apparatus comes in three sizes; small for 50 to 100 millilitre bottles, medium for 100 to 250 ml and large for 500 to 1,000 ml. Each has room for up to 10 replacement needles and provides easy access to an automatic syringe.
