Bale handler
Brandt Industries’ Bale Commander can handle all shapes and sizes of bales.
It is suitable for bunk or windrow feeding and bedding, and enhances feed palatability.
Operators can adjust the windrow for heavy or light feeding requirements with the hydraulic motor’s adjustable flow control.
Windrow size and location is controlled from the tractor cab by the hydraulic on the discharge door. The high angle discharge provides even straw distribution.
A belt drive reduces motor shock when handling frozen bales.

Clean water
Alex Milne Associates has introduced an inexpensive product to allow homeowners to check their water for E. coli and coliform bacteria.
WaterCheck was developed to allow independent and government laboratories to quickly screen water samples for E. coli before doing more extensive lab tests.
The home version allows users to put a water sample in a sanitized plastic bag that is provided in the kit. The bag sits at room temperature for about three days and contamination is determined by a color change.
The test is also effective with chlorinated water.
WaterCheck is found in most Home Hardware stores in Canada. For more information, phone 800-563-5947.
