Deeres love hay

John Deere has a new line of round balers and mower conditioners.

There are eight models in the 7-Series of balers. They produce bales ranging from 750 to 2,200 pounds.

A new feature on all 7-Series balers is the MegaWide pickup, featuring more aggressive teeth and a new rotor feeding mechanism. As many as 12 teeth feed the crop while two short augers and the rotor let the pickup feed a high volume of double windrows into the forming chamber.

The balers also have the new CoverEdge net wrap that covers the bale’s top surface and extends as much as two inches over the side.

The John Deere 6-Series rotary mower conditioners come in five models ranging in width from eight feet, six inches (2.6 metres) to 14 ft. six in. (4.4 metres).

A new, low-profile nodular iron cutterbar increases the strength of the cutter while allowing it to cut at a flatter angle.

Each module has shearhub protection and modules can be changed without removing the cutter bar.

Crop accelerators on the end disks help speed plants to the conditioning area.
