Heartland to build in Virden

SASKATOON (Staff) – Heartland Livestock Services has announced plans to build a livestock marketing facility in Virden, Man.

The centre, expected to cost $2.1 million, will serve the Moosomin, Sask., and Virden areas, with facilities to handle 100,000 head per year, said a Heartland news release. It will also have space to feed and water 3,500 head at one time, and will have an auction ring with a 350-person seating capacity. Heartland plans to start construction in the fall of 1996.
