Present and former members of 4-H are invited to enter a contest to
mark the rural club’s 90 years of activity in Canada.
The contest asks them to do a piece of artwork in any medium that
illustrates an aspect of life in 4-H over the past 90 years.
Deadline for submitting the art to the national council is Dec. 20. Top
prize in each category is $100. The categories include junior (ages
5-9), intermediate (10-15), senior (16-21) and alumni (22 and up).
Canada’s first 4-H club was founded in 1913 in Roland, Man.
Today, 4-H has 33,000 members in 2,500 clubs.
