College/university partners

Students of agriculture at Fairview College, Lakeland College, Olds College and Lethbridge Community College now have the opportunity to gain a university degree, thanks to a new agreement with the University of Lethbridge.

The U of L will grant admission to its two-year post-diploma bachelor of arts or science program in agricultural studies to graduates from these colleges. This allows students to obtain a university degree with only two more years of study.

Students enrolled in the post-diploma program develop an understanding of the social, economic, political and environmental conditions that affect the agricultural industry. They are also exposed to the latest technological developments, techniques and equipment used in the field through co-op placements, applied studies and summer employment.

The partnership agreement was signed Nov. 17.
