The Saskatchewan Stock Growers Association is seeking nominations for three awards:
- The Environmental Stewardship Award, offered with Ducks Unlimited Canada and RBC Bank, is open to Saskatchewan cattle producers. It recognizes innovative and successful approaches to environmentally and economically sustainable cattle production. Nomination deadline is May 23.

- The Carl Block Memorial Stewardship Education Fund was established in 2002 by the SSGA and the Block family. Recipients of the fund are recognized for projects related to revegetation and reclamation of indigenous grasses. Applications should be e-mailed to blocks.ranching@xplornet.com and to ssga@sasktel.net no later than Nov. 1. Applications should include contact information, a project description, project justification and rationale and funding information.

- The $1,000 SSGA rangeland scholarship is available to a Saskatchewan student pursuing an education in range management who is an SSGA member or whose immediate family is an SSGA member.
The application deadline is Nov. 1.
The successful applicant will be announced at the SSGA semi-annual meeting in January.
