Hogs
The U.S. national live price average for barrows and gilts was $64.73 Feb. 11, down from $64.79 Feb. 4.
U.S. hogs averaged $82.36 on a carcass basis Feb. 11, down from $83.87 Feb. 4.
The U.S. pork cutout was $109.96 per hundredweight Feb. 11, up from $97.41 Feb. 4.
The estimated U.S. weekly slaughter to Feb. 12 was 2.516 million, up from 2.445 million the previous week.
Slaughter was 2.643 last year at the same time.
In Canada, the Feb. 12 Signature Four price was C$196.66 per 100 kilograms, up from $189.52.

Bison
Prices offered by Canadian buyers for slaughter in Canada start at $4-$4.15 per pound hot hanging weight for Grade A bison bulls and $3.75-$4.15 for heifers on very light trading. Canadian buyers are offering $4.60-$4.80 for prime bulls and $4.40-$4.70 for heifers for slaughter in the United States.
U.S. buyers are paying US$3.60-$4 per lb. hot hanging weight for prime bulls from Canada for U.S. slaughter, where slaughter times are booked. Heifers are being purchased at $3.60-$3.80. Returns to producers are dependent on exchange rates, quality, transportation and export costs.
Lambs
Ontario Stockyards Inc. reported that 776 sheep and 25 goats sold Feb. 7. Lambs sold on a fully steady market. Sheep sold just steady.
