The U.S. national live price average for barrows and gilts was not available for March 21 and March 14.
U.S. hogs averaged $88.40 on a carcass basis March 21, down from $89.05 March 14.

Bison
The Canadian Bison Association reported domestic carcass prices of $570-$600 per cwt., hot hanging weight, for finished bulls and $535-$600 per cwt. for finished heifers. Mature bulls were not available, while mature cows were $425-$450 per cwt.
Carcass prices for bison sold into the United States were US$440-$460 per cwt. for bulls and $425-$445 per cwt. for heifers.
Prices for mature bulls and cows were not available.
All prices are subject to fluctuations in the market and dollar exchange rates.
Prices for live bison in Canada were C$30 per pound for bulls and $2.70 per lb. for heifers of good quality or better. The mixed live animal price was not available.
Lambs
Ontario Stockyards Inc. reported that 349 sheep and 377 lambs sold March 17.
Beaver Hill Auctions at Tofield, Alta., reported that 999 sheep and 420 goats sold March 17.
Wool lambs lighter than 54 lb. were $410-$450 per cwt., 55-69 lb. were $390-$450, 70-85 lb. were $375-$478, 86-105 lb. were $345-$415, and 106 lb. and heavier were $280-$360. Wool rams were $170-$250 per cwt. Cull ewes were $160-$290.
Hair lambs lighter than 54 lb. were $370-$405, 55-69 lb. were $340-$420, 70-85 lb. were $340-$420, 86-105 lb. were $310-$395 and 106 lb. and heavier were $260-$345. Hair rams were $190-$290 per cwt. Cull ewes were $170-$325.
