The Western Grains Research Foundation has announced that the research tax credit rates for producers who contributed to the western wheat and barley checkoffs in 2015 are 77 percent for wheat and 73 percent for barley.
The annual eligible tax credit is set annually by the Canada Revenue Agency under its Scientific Research and Experimental Development Program.
Producers have the opportunity to get a tax credit for their check-off investments.
The foundation manages the wheat and barley variety development check-off funds. Last year it invested more than $19 million in research.
