REGINA, Sask. – A barn burner of an Angus sale was held the evening of Nov. 23 at Canadian Western Agribition.
The Power and Perfection sale posted an unofficial gross of $383,100. There were 28 ½ live lots which averaged $10,884. Eight packages of frozen embryos and semen totaled $72,900.
Ian Gross of Wiwa Creek Angus, Rush Lake, Sask., offered a black cow and bull calf which topped the sale. The bull calf sold for $72,000. The buyers were unavailable at press time. The cow went for $43,000 to Boss Cattle Co. in Nebraska.
Wiwa Creek also sold a 2012 female for $23,000 to Boss Cattle Co.
