Roy Legumex Inc. of St. Jean, Man., has bought Regina Seed Processors in Richardson, Sask.

This is the second acquisition for the company in less than a year. It took over the operations of Sabourin Seed also of St. Jean in the summer of 2007, bringing the number of plants it operates in Western Canada to five.

In business since 1948, Roy Legumex processes pulse crops, sunflower, flax and millet for shipment around the world.

Roy Legumex Inc. has traded special crops in Saskatchewan since the early 1980s but this will be the first plant it owns in the province.
