Pest killer
Zeneca has developed a weather-resistant rodent bait called WeatherBlok XT.
The extruded bait pellets contain brodifacoum and are designed with more gnawing edges for better control of all rodents, including those that are anticoagulant-resistant.
Other improvements include better taste and palatability, broad label coverage and a larger mounting hole for simpler bait placement.

VIDEO: Green Lightning and Nytro Ag win sustainability innovation award
Nytro Ag Corp and Green Lightning recieved an innovation award at Ag in Motion 2025 for the Green Lightning Nitrogen Machine, which converts atmospheric nitrogen into a plant-usable form.
They feature planter-style row units with parallel-linkage mounts and v-style closing wheels that provide better depth control and seed-to-soil contact. The company says row spacing of 38 centimetres (15 inches) performs better than 76 cm (30 inch) or wider spacing. They come in 4.5, six and 7.5 metre (15, 20 and 25-foot) widths.

Welding generator
Hobart has introduced a new welding generator.
The Champion 8500 has 50 to 210 amp output for stick and non-critical DC TIG welding of mild and stainless steel.
It delivers good arc characteristics while delivering up to 8,000 watts of auxiliary power from two 120 VAC and one 240 VAC circuit breaker-protected receptacles.
It has a 38-litre fuel tank with a top fuel/oil fill feature that allows for more convenient checking and filling. It is powered by a 16 HP twin-cylinder gasoline engine.

Bale processor
Vermeer has introduced a new line of bale processors designed to reduce feeding and bedding costs while increasing feed palatability and efficiency.
The BP 6800 and BP 7800 processors have hydraulically powered feed rollers that rotate and loosen the bale in either direction for uniform feeding into a flail-type shredder.
The PTO-powered flails process the material and help blow away mould, dust and mildew. Straw is blown up to 15 metres (50 feet.) An adjustable feed grate controls rate of feed and length of cut.
A fork-style loader hydraulically lifts and transports a second bale, then loads it into the processor when the first one is done. Optional is a bale mover adapter hitch that allows attachment of a trailer carrying up to eight additional bales.
