Portable tank

Westeel has introduced the Road Vault, the first North American portable service tank to comply with new, more stringent government regulations for transporting dangerous goods.

The regulations apply to all portable service tanks over 100 imperial gallons (455 litres) used to transport flammable liquids such as gasoline over public roads.

The main difference is the thickness of the steel. The Road Vault has 12-gauge steel. It has a fusible plug-style emergency vent that releases combustible gases before they become a danger. There is also a restraining bracket that prevents tank and vehicle damage.

Seed-treating systems

Graham Seed Farms has introduced several new seed treating products.

The TS-7 mobile transfer auger system can be used to treat or move grain.

In the field, the unit can be used for G3 treating directly into air seeder augers. In the yard, it can treat grain from flat or hopper-bottom granaries.

It is 17.8 centimetres by 3.6 metres long (seven inches by 12-feet long) and comes with all wheels and handles.

Power options are hydraulic orbit with flow control or 1.5 horsepower electric motor.

The T-1 mixing system premixes and stores water-based cereal treatment products. It treats about 1,300 bushels of cereals with one fill. The unit supplies pre-calibrated treatment rates to G3 or A4 auger adaptor applicators.

It includes a 114 litre poly hopper tank, stand and plumbing.

The P-6 field treating system is a 12-volt powered seed treating system for air seeder or nurse truck mount.

It works with any licensed fungicide and allows operators to treat the seed at a calibrated rate as they put it in the air seeder.

It pumps from 10-litre jugs and keeps operators isolated from the chemicals.
