WINNIPEG, June 22 (CNS Canada) – Following are a few highlights in the Canadian and world feed grains markets on Wednesday, June 22.
– European feed wheat prices fell on Tuesday along with wheat prices, weighed down by a sharp decline in Chicago grain futures, according to reports.
– Manitoba’s corn acreage could see a bump this year due to attractive prices and good growing conditions. The Chicago Board of Trade has the price of a bushel of corn above US$4.00 for about a month, raising producer’s hopes for bigger profits. In a report released May 6, Statistics Canada forecast corn area at 360,000 acres. Updated estimates will be released June 29.
