Bruce Banks, chief executive officer of the 4-H Foundation of Alberta, is stepping down from the position in April after 15 years in charge of the organization.
“Bruce has made a significant contribution to the foundation and to 4-H in general in this province over his long and dedicated tenure,” board chair Arron Madson said in a news release.
Leah Jones, former programming manager for agriculture and youth with the Calgary Stampede will take over the position.
Jones has also worked with AFSC, UFA, Northlands and the Alberta Simmental Association.
The 4-H Foundation of Alberta is a non-profit organization formed in the 1970s. Its role is to administer provincial, regional and district scholarships, handling bequests, managing trust funds and seeking funding relationships to ensure 4-H financial stability for the organization.
“The board would like to thank Bruce for his many contributions to the foundation,” Madson said.
