Hogs
The U.S. national live price average for barrows and gilts was $39.29 March 13, listed as N/A on March 6.
U.S. hogs averaged $54.19 on a carcass basis March 13, up from $50.90 March 6.
The U.S. pork cutout was $69.84 per cwt. March 13, up from $66.86 March 6.
The estimated U.S. weekly slaughter to March 14 was 2.648 million, down from 2.680 million the previous week.
Slaughter was 2.453 million last year at the same time.
In Canada March 14 Signature Five price was C$140.05 per 100 kilograms, up from C$133.19 the week before.

On a per hundredweight basis, the price was $63.53, up from $60.41 the week before.
Bison
The Canadian Bison Association said Grade A bulls in the desirable weight range offering prices from C$4.25-$4.60 per pound hot hanging weight. U.S. buyers are offering US$4.15/lb with returns dependent on exchange rates, quality and export costs.
Grade A heifers offerings of C$4-$4.40 hot hanging weight. U.S. buyers are offering US$3.80/lb.
Animals outside the desirable buyer specifications may be discounted.
Lambs
Ontario Stockyards Inc. reported 451 sheep and lambs and 112 goats sold March 9. All lambs traded higher. An average run of sheep sold barely steady. Goats sold steady.
Beaver Hill Auction in Tofield, Alta., reported 953 sheep and 453 goats sold.
Wool lambs lighter than 54 lb. were $220-$275 per cwt., 55 to 69 lb. were $275-$314, 70 to 85 lb. were $270-$307, 86 to 105 lb. were $225-$270 and 106 lb. and heavier were $210-$232.
Wool rams were $120-$150 per cwt. Cull ewes were $125-$150.
Hair lambs lighter than 54 lb. were $200-$250 per cwt., 55 to 69 lb. were $250-$314, 70 to 85 lb. were $265-$307, 86 to 105 lb. were $215-$258 and 106 lb. and heavier were $205-$220.
Hair rams were $120-$140 per cwt. Cull ewes were $124-$153.
