REGINA — Canada’s Farm Progress Show failed to draw its usual rainstorms, until the hour after it ended, but it did bring in decent crowds.
Drill is 100’ in the field, 18’ on the road
REGINA — There are a few must-see machines each year at Canada’s Farm Progress Show, and Bourgault made that list this year with its new 100 foot 3420 Paralink Hoe Drill.
Many producers were aware that Bourgault was working on the 100 foot drill with pictures of its testing shared on Twitter and online discussion boards.
However, this was the first time the public could view the seeder up close and Bourgault staff could openly discuss it.
1,000 bushels in less than 10 minutes
– Morris Industries has an idea that will deliver 1,000 bushels of up to four products into an air seeder cart in less than 10 minutes, saving up to two hours per day with less field compaction. The technology is so new it needs a name. The company is asking farmers for ideas at the show.
Equipment innovation recognized at Farm Progress
– A panel of judges has recognized six new equipment innovations entered for critique at this year’s Canada’s Farm Progress Show.

– The 38th annual Canada’s Farm Progress Show opened this morning to sunny Regina skies, but rain is on everyone’s minds.
