Problems on the Canadian prairies took up a good chunk of the DTN weather situation and outlook session I just listened to. We’re famous! But for all the wrong reasons. Too dry. Too wet. Too cold.

That combined with U.S. problems with too much rain in the eastern corn belt, too much wet and cold in the eastern North Dakota/western Minnesota area, and mixed conditions elsewhere create a situation one of the DTN analysts said should support bullishness for the next 30 days.

Things are pretty crappy in Argentina and China too.

That’s all good for crop prices. As a long time market analyst said to me yesterday when I ran into him in downtown Winnipeg, “It’s beginning to feel like 2007 again.”

Remember that? That was the start of the last big rally.
