Chamber baler
New balers produced by Vicon/Greenland allow producers to bale silage, hay and straw.
The RV 116 and RV 126 variable chamber round balers produce four-foot-wide bales, but bale diameters can be adjusted from two feet to 4’3” in the RV 116 and from two feet to six feet in the RV 126 model.
A twin belt system and an “open throat” starting chamber contribute to easy bale core formulation, so even thin, short material starts to roll immediately. Bale density can be controlled at the beginning by springs and through to the end using hydraulics.
The balers can handle either twine or net wrapping, and the operator can set the amount of twine used. Two twine tubes speed up the wrapping process. A small diameter pick-up and closely spaced tines allow the pickup of short and fine hay. A spring-loaded ramp ensures the bale springs clear when complete.
