I used to be a federalist, a Reform Party member, assistant to a Reform MP and president of a Reform Party Constituency Association, but that’s all behind me. I realize now it is impossible for the Reform Party to achieve the kind of changes it used to firmly and strongly advocate before the United Alternative scheme was hatched….
The federal government of Quebtario exists by and for the provinces of Quebec and Ontario, while all issues that matter to other parts of Canada are of secondary importance. The long list of western grievances only grows longer year after year.

This should come as no surprise since the majority of powerbrokers in Ottawa, with the possible exception of the brief Diefenbaker era, always concern themselves with Quebtario’s problems.
It is time the West seceded from Confederation and was free from the dominance of Quebtario. The four western provinces could come together as the new Republic of Western Canada with a constitution built on effective, democratic representation, sound fiscal and social principles, and an accountable judicial system, which protects the innocent and punishes the guilty, not the other way around.
Westerners get nowhere banging their heads, begging for change against the brick wall I call Quebtario. It is time we seceded and called the shots in our own, new country.
