I came across a video this morning that celebrates local food, and though you might enjoy it. Though winter seems determined to retain its icy grip on much of the Prairies, many of us are nevertheless thinking about planting gardens and raising vegetables in our farm gardens. And many of us are also looking forward to farmers markets, where we can buy delicious things that we can’t grow ourselves. Urban dwellers are showing greater awareness of food production and nutrition, which I believe is a good thing for everyone involved in agriculture. The link to the video appears here. It features Andrew Queen in the lead, Tim Hadley on upright bass, Nik Tjelios on mandolin and Luke Mercier on the fiddle. Bosco, the dog, seems very comfortable with concerts in his living room.
