Responsible gov’t

The Saskatchewan Party promises large tax cuts. It never calls for reform of the tax system to make it fairer for average Canadians.

Freezing health and education budgets suggests these programs are expendable. It believes in privatizing health care, an American style two-tier system, and privatizing our profitable Crowns for one-time money.

In Alberta, some 200,000 people can’t pay health premiums ($860 for a family of four) and fear they’ll lose services. Ralph Klein took thousands off welfare to fend for themselves.

Saskatchewan hasn’t health premiums and has introduced many programs to help those less fortunate.

Saskatchewan’s government invests more per capita in supporting farm families than any other province and will continue pressing Ottawa to reinstate the subsidies to better compete with the U.S. and Europe.

The NDP government has reduced the debt, balanced budgets, cut taxes and increased funding for needed social programs. We need this balanced approach in handling our social, economic and financial affairs.
