Looking for the unusual – everyday

Students attending Vetavision, an open house event that ran earlier this month, had a chance to see a new facility in operation at the Western College of Veterinary Medicine in Saskatoon at the University of Saskatchewan.

Now, imagine this photo without the yellow lab at right. “Wrinkles,” walked into my camera frame and took an ordinary photo a step higher in terms of interest and composition.

I try never to miss an opportunity for conveying humour because it’s universally compelling and holds the viewer a little longer.

The same with the photo of Tanja holding the pig, which was at the same event. The children with suckers in their mouths make the photo a little more enduring while offering an added detail.
