Photo of unsafe practices should not have been published
I was looking at a photo on Page 4 of the Sept. 1 issue and became very angry — anger at what was happening in the photo and anger at you for printing it. The person is reaching in with her hand to collect the sample with a little child close by observing an action he should never see in case he tried it.
There are tools made to collect samples which are basically a cup fastened on to a long handle. This is the safe way. Your paper often has stories about safety, which all farmers should be taking more seriously. This photo portrayed two unsafe practices. It perpetuates the notion that farmers are careless about safety.
