Feeling sheepish
Thank you for including the lovely photos on page 30, Touring the Past, in the Oct. 13 edition of The Western Producer.
I did want to point out that the flock of sheep were a black-faced breed, perhaps Hampshire or Suffolk crosses. Shropshire sheep have a white woolly face.
My father, Calvin Foster, was president of the Canadian Sheep Breeders Association in the 1950s. It is nice to see sheep in your paper, even if the breeds are a bit mixed up.
