There are 13 days until Christmas and it’s time to fully embrace the

season. And what says Christmas like Christmas carols? Here is a

contest designed to help you brush up on lyrics so you can fully

participate in concerts, parties and carolling.

Guess the name of the carol from which these lyric snippets come. Your

reward for doing so correctly? The chance to check your answers on page

73.

17. Faithful friends who are dear to us gather near to us once more.

19. Say hello to friends you know and everyone you meet.

20. And mild and sweet the words repeat, of peace on earth, good will

to men.

21. Christmas eve will find me where the love light gleams.

22. But the prettiest sight to see is the holly that will be on your

own front door.

23. With those holiday greetings and gay happy meetings when friends

come to call.

24. What a bright time, it’s the right time to rock the night away.

25. When we finally kiss goodnight, how I’ll hate going out in the

storm!

26. Green not alone in summertime, but in the winter’s frost and rime.

27. A thrill of hope, the weary world rejoices.

28. And if you ever saw it, you would even say it glowed.

29. With every Christmas card I write, “May your days be merry and

bright.”
