A treasure

Reading Time: < 1 minute

I’m writing with a crying heart regarding the termination of the dear little magazine Western

People.

To me it is the highlight of the whole newspaper. Every page of it was read, re-read and put

to use, each story a treasure of times, education, history, reminiscence.

Many have found their way into my scrapbook. Had I know of the termination, I would

have kept each and every magazine.

The KidSpin went to my little young friends of different ages, some handicapped.

Invigor Gold variety viewed as threat to condiment mustard

Invigor Gold, the canola-quality mustard developed by BASF, is on a collision course with Canada’s condiment mustard industry. It’s difficult to see how the two can co-exist.

Each Wildlife page thoroughly enjoyed, most in my collection.

Every Cosmic Events page has been kept for my own study of constellations, and much

entertainment for children as well as adults.

The well-chosen comic strips were enjoyed, each word puzzle solved.

Last but definitely not least, the Mailbox. I have been collecting only songs that I know

since I was 10 years old and I have exchanged lyrics to these old time songs and gained

new friends through your Mailbox.

Finally, my library has been enhanced with many exceptional books through the advertising

in your section.

The Western People is the most versatile little magazine I have ever read…
