The country’s largest grain handler is now the presenting sponsor for the next two Western Canada Farm Progress Shows.

Viterra and the show announced the sponsorship agreement last week. Financial details were not disclosed.

A Viterra spokesperson said the deal would include things such as more visibility on the show grounds through signs.

Both parties said the agreement builds on relationships first established with Viterra’s founding companies, Saskatchewan Wheat Pool and Agricore United.

“This is a partnership of two organizations, both homegrown success stories, now making an international impact in the agribusiness sector,” said Mark Allan, president of Ipsco Place, which hosts the show.

Over the past few years, the former Regina Exhibition Park has sought private company support for its facilities.
