I have never voted Liberal and still curse Pierre Trudeau’s Charter of Rights and Freedoms every time I have to foot the bill for illegal immigrants and other such forced taxpayer expenses.
But to say Justin Trudeau “has accomplished nothing in the private sector”, or “this lightweight could not make a dime in the real world and that’s why he’s in politics” (Open Forum, Oct. 28) is to ignore the facts.
Before entering politics, Justin Trudeau was a respected teacher of social studies and French in Sir Winston Churchill Secondary School in Vancouver. He holds both a BA and a BEd degree and is completing a Master of Arts in Geography.
If he failed to make a dime in the real world, it’s because we pay our teachers less than some of them deserve.
