Fifty-five Saskatchewan Wheat Pool delegates have recently been acclaimed in even-numbered districts, following the close of nominations.

Elections will be needed to settle three contests:

  • In district 12, sub 7, two newcomers, Norbert Kock of Marsden, and Kim Putnam of Neilburg, are vying for the delegate position.
  • In district 16, sub 4, first-time candidate Charles Baillargeon of Jackfish Lake, is running against incumbent Robert Iverson of Meota.

New delegates acclaimed, listed by district and subdistrict: Walter Bedford of Avonlea (2-7); Bill Dearborn of Leader (4-4); Bonita Sauder of Swift Current (4-6); Darryl Jordheim of White Bear (4-7); Robert Dunlop of Regina (6-4); Joe Cey of Wilkie (12-4); Terry Baker of Denzil (12-5); David Bohachewski of Porcupine Plain (14-1).

Where elections are required, ballots will be mailed to members in the subdistricts Feb. 20, with the elections closing on March 18.

Two subdistricts remain vacant and will be filled later through by elections.
