A Saskatchewan company is becoming the exclusive Canadian distributor of the BoMill, a Swedish machine that can separate fusarium damaged kernels from grain.
Flaman Grain Cleaning, part of the Flaman Group of Companies in Saskatoon, will be the licensed dealer in Canada for BoMill’s patented sorters that use near infrared transmittance to sort individual grain kernels based on their chemical composition and protein content.
BoMill has two near infrared sorters: a TriQ model capable of sorting more than three tonnes of grain per hour and an IQ model, used for smaller samples, research applications and demonstrations.

“BoMill have a unique position on the market with their patented technology for grain quality sorting, and we are excited to bring this out to our customers,” said Warren Schmidt, manager at Flaman Grain.
“We believe that the TriQ is the solution for many of the fusarium problems that we have seen this past year.”
BoMill officials were in Saskatchewan last week to conduct demonstrations in North Battleford.
“With Flaman as our distributor in Canada, we will have a strong partner,” said Karin Wehlin, chief executive officer of BoMill AB.
