Renn Mill Center Inc. has bought the manufacturing and distribution rights to the Jiffy brand of agriculture equipment, including the Jiffy bale shredder, hay rake and harrow drawbar.
Renn bought Jiffy from ProAll International Manufacturing Inc., an equipment maker in Olds, Alta., where Jiffy products have been manufactured since 1959. Renn also bought the Pro-Care line of lawn maintenance equipment from ProAll. Price was not disclosed.
ProAll’s success with Reimer concrete mixers led to its decision to focus on the industrial side and sell the agricultural line.

Agri-business and farms front and centre for Alberta’s Open Farm Days
Open Farm Days continues to enjoy success in its 14th year running, as Alberta farms and agri-businesses were showcased to increase awareness on how food gets to the dinner plate.
“We had to make a choice; we couldn’t continue supporting both sides of the business,” ProAll chief executive officer Larry Koop said in a news release. He is pleased the Jiffy name will live on with Renn.
Renn president Doug Hilsabeck said the deal fits with his company’s desire to expand its product line.
“We’ve been looking for a brand of equipment that fits well with ours in terms of proven quality and dependability that earns the trust of farmers. Jiffy has been a trusted name in agriculture for many years.”
Hilsabeck said in a news release that his company, located east of Lacombe, Alta., has increased the size of its manufacturing facility and invested in automation and robotics over the past five years.
Renn makes grain processing equipment for livestock operations and grain bagging equipment.
“Jiffy complements our product offering with its hay processing and crop production equipment and lets us step into the hay production market…,” said Hilsabeck.
Renn plans to merge the distribution networks and expand market access to both brands.
