I would like to comment on the “Trudeau taught” letter, (Open Forum, Nov. 11). I am sure the author of the letter of Oct. 28 was referring to the private sector, not a taxpayer-funded occupation as the real world.
So Justin Trudeau was a teacher and is taking further education in geography. I guess when you are born with a silver spoon in your mouth, you can afford to go to school till you’re 45.
In my opinion, teachers are well paid for their services with wages and benefits that most of us cannot afford and are certainly not subject to the economic forces most of us have to contend with. Hardly the “real world”.
Perhaps Ms. Sandecki is also employed in the education industry, oops “real world.”
