Despite perfect harvesting weather, the Johanson family farm at Langruth, Manitoba drew a couple of hundred vintage farm machinery enthusiasts, local families and steam power aficionados away from their own farms for a display of old time threshing and ploughing on September 10.
Most of the machinery is owned by Murray Johanson, a committed collector and rebuilder of vintage equipment.
People travelled from Victoria, B.C., Ontario and Minneapolis for the event, which is held every few years.
